A celebration of Jeremy Brett in honour of his up coming anniversary. We miss him, but I made this (my very first video) in memory of him.

Wow, it's been ages since I posted an entry!
Far too long!
I've been without internet for a little while after some minor flooding.

Anyway, tonsils came out and although there was a minor problem with the way they healed everything is fine now!

I went to London recently and have been the Brean! I have only done the first year of most of my GCSEs but I did my maths a year early and have just got my result for it - A! =D Fantastically pleased to have one decent GCSE under my belt already.

Cross your fingers for me today, I'm having my tonsils out and then I have to take two weeks off school. =s

on a brighter note; the 'Evita' cd and dvd I ordered arrived this morning, just in time to take to the hospital! =p

I've seen Ian Hart play Watson briefly when I caught the tail-end of 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' but never really took much notice until now.
UKTV has had s Sherlock Holmes weekend (heaven!) and I have seen him play Watson along side both Richard Roxburgh who was good and Rupert Everett who was amazing! I think he has quickly made his way into my top three Watsons! if anyone happens to get the chance to watch 'The case of the silk stocking' (that's the one with Rupert Everett as Holmes, although it is not a story from the canon, it is certainly worth a look! I think it is the best non-Doyle adaptation I've seen and although Everett is a little bit flat-toned, I find he's like that in everything where he has to be serious!
Anyway, give it a look!

I have been tagged by: solitaryrider

Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

1. I need music to survive, a day does not go by without me listening to something.
2. I spend far too much time on my computer.
3. I have a maths gcse in about two weeks.
4. I'm a bit of a clean-freak.
5. My work experience was ace!
6. If I don't finish quickly I am going to miss my school bus!
7. ASDA were selling copies of 'A Study in Scarlet' for only £1!
8. Therefore I bought a copy!

I want to tag:
christinah3000, frankymole, gerlindes, janey_aurora, melindawatson, solitaryrider, tuskel, zed_pm

I'm off on work experience this week, this means NO school, NO being treated like a child, REAL work in a REAL working environment! Can't wait! Managed to grab myself a placement working in a Roman museum, some days I'll bee doing background research, some days I'll be running activity sessions for groups of school children and some days I'll be handling and cataloguing the artifacts!!! It's going to be brilliant!

Last night I ran two dramas and a musical one after the other and although there were a few minor mistakes (none of which the audience noticed, luckily!) if I could turn back the clocks and relive yesterday all over again, I wouldn't change a single thing. I'm going to miss all the people I worked with on this, some of them I'll see again hopefully, some I know I won't but I know I'll never forget them. I had a brilliant time and my only regret is having to leave people who probably don't know how much they mean to me.
Can't wait, in a year and a half my theatre group will start again and I can re-join them!
Until then, thank you everyone!
And a special thank you to Rob, you are the best producer/director ever, you didn't just teach me what to do, you gave me the confidence to do it!

Please cross your fingers for me this evening, I'm performing a couple of dramas and a musical production tonight and I'm going to need all the luck I can get just to stop myself passing out from pure exhaustion! I'm very excited but very nervous which means I'm speaking very fast in short bursts and my hands won't stop shaking so God knows how many typos are in this! I have to run and get ready because I have rehearsals that start at one then I've got a half hour break at 6:00 before having to get ready for the real thing at 7!

I went to the hospital again today and after nearly nine months of antibiotics, vitamins, specialised diets, R&R and a lot of poking and prodding, they've finally decided just to take my tonsils out...

I have just read the booklet telling you all the things that could possibly go wrong during your operation. =S
1:200 risk of uncontrollable bleeding
1:20 chance of haemorrhage in the first week
...*gulp*

Feeling rather small right now!

Anyway, I told them that they're not allowed to do anything until after June 22nd because I'm doing an early GCSE in maths that I'd like to fail and get over with before the operation and I'm also directing The Importance of Being Ernest and can't afford to take two weeks off from it all.

Lazy bank holiday afternoon has made me write a new poem...
This one has been written because something I have been doing for a long time and really love is coming to an end but I have decided it should be seen as a new beginning and not the end of the world. Anyway, I will bee back to it in about a year and a half, so in the mean time, I can twiddle my thumbs and count down the days! ;)
Anyway...

Life and Love Come Hand in Hand

Raindrops and bumblebees
Lemonade and a summer night
Plastic boats and toy trains
Scattered leaves over fallen light

Pencils and pink paper
Fishing and rolling down a hill
Clouds and sharing secrets
Receiving flowers when you’re ill

Car rides and playing games
Holding hands and skipping small stones
Dolls and sandy beaches
Signatures on broken bones

Ice creams and holding back
Swimming pools and red rose petals
Pony rides and candles
Falling down on stinging nettles

Feathers and skipping ropes
Hot water bottles and the sea
Baby birds and snow days
Brown paper bag stuck in a tree

Dog walking and due drops
Hay-fever and cloudless blue skies
Cut grass and flower buds
Falling hail stones on dragonflies

Chocolate and board games
Wine glasses and oak wood tables
Warm fire and being close
Cleaning out the riding stables

Kite tails and setting sun
Camping out and baking cup-cakes
Airplanes and balls of string
Sticking, no matter what the stakes

Good books and spider webs
Climbing trees and going to shows
Lakes and a midnight kiss
Children hiding where no one knows

I'll miss you all!

Substitute teacher took our French lesson, this was the product of an hours doss! It's written from the point of view of a man who has come out of a relationship without ever having really been in one because he let his job take over...yeah, I'm strange like that! =P

Woke up in the gutter,
In the dead of night,
Wondered how it happened,
Tried to find some light.

Picked myself up again,
Tried to move along,
Stumbled in the darkness,
Put my shoes back on.

Walked about a mile,
No one else around,
Couldn’t keep on walking,
Sat down on the ground.

Pulled out a cigarette,
Swear I’ll quite tomorrow,
Light it up and take a drag,
Moping in self-sorrow.

No one else around me,
The smile’s allowed to fade,
Looking back on everything,
What a mess I made.

Thought I needed others,
But couldn’t find myself,
Wonder if my heart has stopped,
I left it on the shelf.

Love hasn’t done much for me,
It only makes me hurt,
Life has put me in the dark,
Sitting in the dirt.

A friend of mine flipped out at school and was referred to the school councilor...and it was my fault. I feel so low right now it's unbelievable. She was trying to apologise to me for being a bit off recently (to be honest I think it was just a bad day because I hadn't noticed anything up to now) and I think she wanted me to yell at her, because that way we would know where we stood, but because I just told her that I needed her right now and that I could forgive anything, she felt a bit annoyed with herself.
Then, when she's in that sort of mood, the smallest thing can set her off.
I wasn't in her lesson at the time.
But I think she just flipped and stormed out.
She is my closest friend, and I let her get into that state, hell, I helped her get into that state.
Feeling very guilty.

What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Drama Nerd

You sure do love the spotlight and probably have a very out-going and loud personality. Or not. That's just a stereotype, of course. Participation in the theatre is something to be very proud of. Whether you have a great voice for musicals, or astounding skills for dramas/comedies; keep up the good work. We need more entertainment these days that isn't television and video games (not that these things are bad, necessarily.)

Got bored on the bus on the way home from school when my music player decided to run out of battery power and ended up writing this...

You’re talking fast,
But all I hear,
Is the beauty of your voice,
I try to turn,
Try not to stare,
But I don’t have a choice.

You brush back,
The curl of hair,
That falls above your eye,
Both are waving,
I’m the one,
Who cannot say goodbye.

Make my way,
Back home again,
To wish past another week,
The sun stops,
Night draws in,
World starts looking bleak.

Sit outside,
Look for your car,
Why are you running late?
You walk past,
You don’t see me,
Don’t realise how I wait.

I wait each week,
For those hours,
That I can spend near you,
You don’t notice,
You don’t see,
You don’t have a clue.

I see your work,
I see you play,
Your life is like an art,
See your fingers,
Play with grace,
Grip around my heart.
